Mr. Charlie Orie Hall, age 88, of Beulaville, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Carolina East Hospice Center in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be held from the Church of God and True Holiness, 375 Joe Hop Williams Road in Beulaville on Sunday November 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Rev. W.C. Kenan officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Irene Hall of Beulaville; four sons: Linward Hall (Shirley) of Beulaville, Edwin Hall (Elaine) of Beulaville, Jerry Hall of Beulaville and Johnnie Hall (Ann) of Beulaville; one daughter, Betty Jean Worthy (Alpha) of Beulaville; two step-daughters: Mary Porter (Clinton) of Virginia and Crystal Sloan of Warsaw; two sisters: Thelma Pennington of Georgia and Juanita Williams of Beulaville; four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 6 to 7 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.

Mr. Melvin J. Carr, age 62, of the Greenevers Community, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held from the New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 South NC Hwy 11, Rose Hill, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2 pm. Rev. Cameron Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories one son, Melvin J. Carr, II of Maryland; two daughters: Melana T. Carr-Gibson of Maryland and Larissa N. Brinson of Raleigh, NC; mother, Willie Mae Carr of Rose Hill; brother, Larry Donnell Moore (Mary Ann) of Virginia; one great-uncle, Nathan Murray (Ruby) of Rose Hill, NC; two grandchildren; loving cousins and other relatives and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.

Mr. William J. Lanier, age 55, of Rose Hill, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.
Funeral services will be held from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Pickett Family Cemetery, Wallace.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his spouse, Sheryl Lanier of Holly Ridge; three sons: William J. Farrior of Maple Hill, Brandon Keith of Hampstead and Casey Hughes of Jacksonville; one daughter, Crystal Lanier of Holy Ridge; one sister, Lillie Lanier of Warsaw: three brothers: James Samuel Lanier of Rose Hill, Lenwood Lanier of Wallace and Dale Lanier (Rose) of Clinton; five aunts, three uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
