Mr. Cornell Chasten, Sr., age 67, of Rose Hill, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Rose Hill, on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery in Rose Hill.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Evelyn Alderman Chasten of Rose Hill; two sons: Cornell Chasten, Jr. (Levette) of Wheaton, MD and Eric Chasten (Kasharka) of Rose Hill; two sisters: Wanda Baker (Van) of Raleigh and Brenda Allen (Jerry) of Wallace; six grandchildren; five aunts, four uncles, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6 to 7 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.

Ms. Canary Garrett, age 87, of Kenansville, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.

Mrs. Alberta Vann Sloan, age 102, of Magnolia, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
