Mrs. Alice Cornelia Murphy Peoples, age 79, of New York, NY, Transitioned from this Life into Celestial Peace Friday, September 11, 2020, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, NY. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Funeral Home Cemetery, Magnolia, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are two sons, Jeffrey Murphy (Lynn) of Papua, New Guinea and Nathan Murphy of New York, NY; two daughters, Jacqueline Ashby (Greg) of Katie, Texas and Beverly Murphy-Smith (Anthony) of Durham; two brothers, Oscar Murphy (Louise) of Rose Hill and Joe Murphy (Betty) of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation for relatives and friends will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family or to a charitable organization in her name.
