Archie Graham Kenan departed this life on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Archie was born in Harrells, NC. He graduated from Clear Run High School with high honors. He completed his Bachelor of Sociology and Psychology Degree at Shaw University. Received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy. Notable experiences with the U.S. Job Corp, Detroit, Michigan Social Services, Durham and Raleigh, NC Social Services, Public School Educator, Police Officer and Public Transportation Specialist. He loved traveling with his family. Archie was truly a people's person. His service to his family and community will forever be remembered. He was predeceased by his Father, David Kenan, Sr and Mother, Theodosia Kenan; his Brothers, Sammy Kenan and David Kenan, Jr; his Sisters, Doris Bullock and Annie Pearl Boone. Survivors: Wife, Aretha G. Kenan of the home; Son, Ramon F. Kenan (Patricia) of Raleigh, NC; Brother, Leadell Kenan (Harriet) of Chapel Hill, NC; Granddaughters, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins. Visitation: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Mt. Calvary Word of Faith Church, 3100 Sanderford Road, Raleigh, NC. Repass following at Mt. Calvary Word of Faith Church. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Viewing: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, preceding the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial site: Mainor Family Cemetery, Herring Road, Rose Hill, NC.
