Ms. Bertha Mae Merritt Murphy, age 67, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Teachey, NC.
Left to cherish her precious memories: children: Austin Murphy, Kim Alexander Murphy, Jr. and Cherone Merritt, all from Jacksonville, NC; brother, Fitzhugh Merritt of Teachey, NC; sisters; Barbara Ann Carr of Teachey, NC and Dorothy Henderson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; three grandchildren; aunt, Hattie Jones of Teachey, NC; a host of cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
