Ms. Doris Lee Chasten, aka “Bit”, age 75, of the Greenevers Community, Departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Dwain Chasten of Riverview, FL; daughter, Jacquetta C. Smith (Sonny) of Rose Hill; mother, Macy Kirk of Rose Hill; three brothers: Albert Kirk (Patricia) of Ft. Washington, MD, Michael Kirk of Teachey and Stephen Kirk of Philadelphia, PA; three sisters: Diane Kirk of Upper Marlboro, MD, Sharon K. Murray (Gary) of Rose Hill and Sylvia K. Jones (Walter) of Wilmington, Delaware; aunt, Affie Mack; uncles, Morrell Chasten and Gerald Chasten (Annie); a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Rd, Rose Hill, NC 28458. Rev. Antonio Forsyth, officiating. Interment will be in the Carr Family Cemetery, Ed Carr Lane, Rose Hill, NC. Visitation will be held on 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Friday, June 5, 2020 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC.
