Mrs. Edith Mae Stallings Dobson Best, age 90, of Warsaw, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC. Funeral service will be held from at Macedonia United Holy Church, 1630 NC-41 in Beulaville on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Dobson Cemetery in Magnolia, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are seven sons: Maxie Donald Dobson (Arletha) of Fayetteville, NC, William Earl Dobson of Warsaw, NC, Sylvester Best of Durham, NC, Eddie Best of Warsaw, NC, Richard Best (Stephanie) of Augusta, GA, Jimmy Best (Janice) of Warsaw, NC and Thomas Earl Best (Mary) of Wallace, NC; five daughters: Carolyn Dobson of Kenansville, NC, Sharon Denise Dobson, Edith Marie Dobson and Mary Alice Best, all of Warsaw, NC and Elouise Dobson of Augusta, GA; two brothers: Harry Lee Stallings (Ruth) and Vernell Stallings (Patricia), both of Greensboro, NC; two sisters: Janice L. Chasten of Kenansville, NC and Yvonne Baldwin (Pryce) of Garner, NC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gertrude Bowen; god-son, James “Bud” Dobson, special son, Daemarkis Faison-Love, special niece, Suzanne McCaulley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
