Mr. Edmund Tyron Newkirk, age 47, of Kenansville, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Magnolia, NC. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery, US Hwy 117 in Warsaw, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Kimberly Townsend Newkirk of Kenansville, NC; four sons: Kalin Newkirk and Evan Newkirk, both of Kenansville; Elijah Newkirk of Eugene, OR and Zacarriah Obershelp of Clinton, NC; parents: Edmund and Colleen Newkirk of Magnolia, NC; grandmother, Cleopatra Lane of Magnolia; one brother, Travis Newkirk (Anselita) of Charlotte, NC; one sister: Monique Newkirk of Raleigh, NC; one grandchild, Ava Newkirk; father-in-law: James Townsend of Kenansville, NC; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; one god-child, Makhyah Pittman; two nieces, seven nephews and other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC.
