Mrs. Gerdine Stokes Kearse, age 90, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Teachey, NC, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at her home.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:50 am, at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Rose Hill, NC, followed immediately by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place immediately after the service, at Stokes Cemetery, Lovitt Stokes Lane in Teachey, NC.

Left to cherish her precious memories are four sons: William Stokes (Lisa), Paul A. Kearse (Lisa), Leroy Kearse, Jr. (Mary), and Richard Kearse; two daughters: Louise Kearse Blakely (Samuel) and Fallissie Kearse; one brother, Henry Stokes (Margie); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
