Mr. John Melvin Echols, age 97, of Willard, NC Transitioned into Eternal Rest on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Magnolia Assisted Living, Clinton, NC. A private funeral service for family only will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are one son, Fred Echols of Brooklyn, NY; one brother: Ronald Echols (Geneva) of Willard; seven sisters: Mae Echols Mazyck of Willard, Theressia Echols Williams of Wallace, Alfair Brinson of Warsaw, Delois Echols Purdie (Alexander) of Willard, Floyetta Echols Murray of Marietta, Ga, Carolyn Echols Murray (James) of Willard and Mary Helen Echols Townsley of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him dearly. A Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 50. We will be expecting Everyone entering our facility to comply with the order(Only 50 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wear face covering, and practice social distancing.
