Mrs. Laura Etta Boney Bowen, age 95, of Wallace, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April, 28, 2026 at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Center in Wallace, NC.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am, at Newkirk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Willard, NC, immediately followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at African American Community Cemetery in Willard, NC.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Wendell Bowen; one daughter-in-law, Glenda Bowen; two sisters-in-law: Florie Boney and Patricia Boney; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
