Mrs. Ludene Pickett Matthews, age 87, of Wallace, NC Entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation, Wallace, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are three sons: Rannie L. Mathews (Mary Ann) of Deep Run, Ivey E. Matthews (Shirley) of Charlotte and Ronnie M. Matthews (Carla) of Winston-Salem; four daughters: Marie Plummer of Wallace, Sarah Dobson (Amos, Jr.) of Magnolia, Margaret Ann Kenan (Steve) of High Point and Jessie Brinson of Rose Hill; one sister: Evangeline Matthews of Wallace; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Matthews and Macie Matthews; a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Deep Bottom Community. Rev. Larry D. Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Pickett Cemetery, Wallace. Viewing for relatives and friends will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC.
