Marilyn Ann Murray Matthews

          Mrs. Marilyn Ann Murray Matthews, age 61, of Rose Hill, NC passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at home.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 12:00 noon at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 S NC 11 Hwy, Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Jonathan Matthews, Jr. of Rose Hill, NC; two children: Ieshia Murray and Jonathan Matthews, III (Natishia), both of Fayetteville, NC; two step-daughters: Catina and Shaquetta Matthews, both of Goldsboro, NC; mother, Sadie Lee Murray; one brother, Troy O. Murray; three sisters: Linda Murray, Cora Lee Murray and Henrietta Williams (Andrew); six grandchildren: Tynecia Peterson, Xavier Murray, Tamius Walters, Jonathan Matthews, IV, A’Nylah Sadie Grace Walters and Jaheim Matthews; two great-grandchildren; Zion Peterson and Khristian Johnson; four sisters-in-law: Mamie Chasten, Janice Pickett, Aline Williams and Catherine Pickett (Danny); one aunt, Alice Williams and one uncle, Larry Mathis; a host of nieces, nephews: numerous relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
