Mr. Michael Kent Thomas, age 79, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, in Fayetteville, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Abundant Life International Cathedral in Jacksonville, NC. Military rites and interment will be held at Coastal Carolina State Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.


Left to cherish his memories are: two sons, Eric Thomas of Cheyenne, WY and Rusty P. Barnhill of Wilmington, NC; three daughters: Lucretia Lovick (Robino) of Murfreesboro, TN, Donna Thomas (Jerry) of Rex, GA and Angela Newkirk of Villa Rica, GA; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; one great-great granchild; numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly
