Mrs. Nellie Mae James-Wells, age 90, of Teachey, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at Duplin Memorial Garden in Teachey, NC.
Left to cherish her precious memories are two sons: John Wells, III (Gwen) of Turkey, NC and Anthony Wells of Teachey, NC; two daughters: Mary Baxter of Shreveport, LA and Lisa Wells of Wallace, NC; one sister, Evelyn Simmons (DeLeon) of Wallace, NC; one sister-in-law, Carrie Wiggins of Warsaw, NC; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
