Ransom Newkirk, Jr.

          Mr. Ransom Newkirk, Jr., age 79, of Wallace, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5^th, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Newkirk Chapel Church in Willard, NC. Burial will follow at African American Community Cemetery in Willard, NC.

Left to cherish his precious memories: sons: Larry (Shelbie) of Durham, NC, Ransom, III “Randy”  of Dumfries, VA and Vincent  (Angie) of Clinton, MD; daughters, Margaret Ann  of Wallace, NC and Linda of Maryland; brother, Tommy  Newkirk (Trina) of White Plains, NY; sisters: Esther Bolden (Danny) of Wallace, NC, Laura Fillyow of Wallace, NC, and Belinda Newkirk of Florida; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
