Mr. Richard Earl Williams, age 74, of Rose Hill, Greenevers Community, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Interment will follow at African American Memorial Gardens, Willard, NC. Left to cherish his memories are five sons, Jeremy E. Williams (Q’Neishia) of Clayton, NC, Samuel Melvin of Rose Hill, NC, Michael Melvin of Raleigh, NC, Calvin Melvin (Debbie) of Rose Hill, NC, and Marcus Melvin (Tina) of Pink Hill, NC; four brothers: Willie Williams of West Palm Beach, FL, Joseph Williams (Mary) of Clinton, NC, Fleet Williams, Jr. (Sharon) of Beulaville, NC and Douglas Williams of Florida; one sister, Altheater W. Jackson of Temple, TX; twenty-five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
