Ronald Stokes

Mr. Ronald Stokes, age 74, of Raeford, NC, formerly of Duplin County, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Ruth Stokes of Raeford, NC; two sons: Ronald T. Stokes and Timothy Morrison, both of Paterson, NJ; one daughter, Shelly R. Stokes of Paterson, NJ; four brothers: Connie Stokes of Danbury, CT, Robert Charles Stokes of Grandview, MO, James Grimes (Sheila) of Goldsboro, NC and Henry Lee James (wife) of Philadelphia, PA; special sister, Elizabeth Douglas of Wilmington, NC and special brother, McNeil Southerland of Magnolia, NC; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren: one sister-in-law, Georgianna Mack, and two brothers-in-law, Aldo Cole and Wilson Medley; two god-children; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 2 pm to 3 pm, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
