Mr. Sammie Lee Hobbs, age 83, of Magnolia, NC, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 at UNC Lenoir Hospital in Kinston, NC.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Peter’s Tabernacle in Wallace, NC. Burial will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey, NC.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Nevada Dixon Hobbs of the home; son, Samuel D. Hobbs (Taheshia) of Houston, TX; daughter, Sharon Murray (Gary) of Magnolia, NC; sister, Betty Beatty of Teachey, NC; sisters-in-law, Edna Dixon and Frankie Hobbs; sister-in-love, Grace McCall; ten grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
