Mrs. Sheila Jean Farrior Newkirk, age 72, of Willard, NC passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rose Hill, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Newkirk Chapel Church in Willard, NC at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at African American Community Cemetery in Willard, NC.

Left to cherish her precious memories: husband, Jackie Newkirk of Willard, NC; two sons: Antonio Newkirk of Willard, NC and Adrain Newkirk (Shannon) of Wilmington, NC; two daughters, Montina Newkirk of Castle Hayne, NC and Genia Newkirk McGee (Dwight) of Zebulon, NC; one brother, Bennie Higgins (Claudette) of Wilmington, NC; four sisters: Brenda Rogers (Ray) of Wallace, NC, Thelma Murphy, Aleatha Higgins and Denise Hayes, all of Wilmington, NC; two brothers-in-law: Roy Lee Newkirk of Georgia and Isaiah Sanders of Wallace, NC; twelve grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
