Thurman James Fennell, Sr.

Mr. Thurman James Fennell, Sr., age 86, of Rose Hill, NC died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Durham, N.C. A Celebration of Life and Legacy Service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Rose Hill, NC at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Funeral Home Cemetery, Hwy 903 in Magnolia, NC. The family will formally receive visitors on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7p.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Rose Hill, N.C.  

Left to celebrate and extend his legacy are his wife, Barbara Williams Fennell of Rose Hill, NC; son, Thurman Fennell (April) of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Jacqueline  Fennell of Raleigh, NC; brother: Willie Ray Fennell (Hattie) of Rose Hill, NC; two sisters: Lynetta Huffman (Sam) of Leland, NC and Stephanie McArthur (James) of Rose Hill, NC; four grandchildren: Brandon, Clifton, Shanta and Donovan; four great-grandchildren: Madison, Journey, Landon and Aspen. One sister-in-law, Betty Thorpe (Bob), two brothers-in-law: Joseph Smith and Dean Spencer, four special daughters: Cynthia Carr, ArKesha Allen, Delphine McMillan, Michelle Lamb, and Theresa Brooks. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, community members and friends will cherish his life and legacy forever.
