Mrs. Wanda Gail Chasten Zanders, age 65, of Leland, NC, native of Duplin County, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rose Hill, NC from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 NC 11 Hwy in Rose Hill, NC at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her two children: Marcus D. Batts (Lorena) of New Market, MD and Tocarra Barnes of Raleigh, NC; three brothers: Sherman Lee Chasten of Rose Hill, NC, Kelvin Chasten (Ann) of Kenansville, NC and Travis Chasten (Bonita) of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Irish Pickett (George) of Rose Hill, NC; three grandchildren: Ryan Batts, Maxwell Barnes and Gisella Barnes; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
