Willie T. "Bud" Batts

           Mr. Willie Thearon Batts, aka “Bud”, age 91 of Rose Hill, NC passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at home.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 12:00 pm at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 S NC 11 Hwy in Rose Hill, NC followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Edna Dixon Batts of Rose Hill; two daughters: Linda White (Tyron) of Chinquapin, NC and Helen Love of Rose Hill, NC; one brother, Issac Batts (Ethel) of Virginia; four sisters: Alberta Boykin of Wallace, NC, Margaret Alexander of Rose Hill, NC, Mildred Brinson (Roman) of Warsaw, NC and Lucille Hill (Robert) of Georgia; adopted sister, Doris Cox of Goldsboro, NC; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; three grandchildren: Corey Love, Carmela Love and Thomas Banks; one great-grandchild, Corey Love, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews; numerous relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
