Worth Ishmauel Lanier

Mr. Worth Ishmauel Lanier, age 84, of Teachey, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Graveside service will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2:15 pm at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Martha Jones Lanier of Teachey; two sons; Gregory Jones (Evelyn) of Tuson, AZ and Jeffrey Lanier (Rebecca) of White Plains, NY; three daughters; Wynita Taylor and April Fennell (Thurman) both of Raleigh, NC, and Wyshawnda Lee (Reginald) of Duluth, GA; one sister, Rachel Kornegay of Magnolia, NC; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; special nephew, Gerald Jones “Cotton” of Teachey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC.
